It’s no secret we’re good with money at Woombye & Districts Community Bank® Branch, but we’re more interested in the good that money can do. In following our passion to create positive change within the community, we’re thrilled to announce our new and exciting long-term partnership with Sunshine Coast Challenge Golf in their mission to raise funds for charitable purposes on the Sunshine Coast.

This brekkie means business
Woombye’s Christmas brekkie means business
Hot coffee and yummy bacon and egg rolls and quiches got things off to a great start at the last Woombye Business Breakfast for 2017, held at the Woombye Bakery and Coffee Shoppe last week.
The Christmas decorations were out, the festive hats were on and the many who made it along had a great time networking. The brekkie is held quarterly and the latest in a series where local business people eventually leave for work asking for recipes and heading off happy.
Hosted by the Woombye Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank, attendees were delighted at being given the opportunity to connect. More than 30 business owners and locals shared a little of what inspired and concerned them. Everyone joined in some great community conversation with some community groups also in attendance.
Woombye Community Bank branch’s Hayley Saunders, said that despite the busy schedules of those able to attend, it was a great get-together to see how businesses are travelling in our community. It was also a chance to honour long-time local, Ian Kerr for his nine years of service as a director of Woombye Community Bank branch board.
“We really do have some really great businesses and terrific people in town. Spending time together every few months over brekkie gives us a great chance to network and learn more about how we can all support each other locally.
“We had lots of business owners joining us for the first time and a few lucky door prizes winners who hadn’t been before, so along with it was a great morning all round. New attendees included Sunshine Coast Cider, Intune Therapy and Intersect Book Keeping Services,” Hayley said.
If you’d like more information about the next breakfast happening in March 2018 and how you can connect your business with other local ones, call Hayley, Mark and the Woombye Community Bank branch team at the branch on 5442 1311.
