This brekkie means business

It’s a great feeling when you’ve got a good thing going. It seems that local businesses have found a way to connect that works best for them.
Hot coffee and yummy bacon and egg rolls and quiches got things off to a great start at the latest instalment of the Woombye Business Breakfast held at the Woombye Bakery and Coffee Shoppe last week.
The brekkie was the latest in a series where local business people eventually leave for work asking for recipes and heading off happy. Hosted by the Woombye Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank, attendees were delighted at being given the opportunity to connect.
More than 40 business owners and locals had the chance to connect and share a little of what inspired and concerned them. Everyone joined in some great community conversation with some community groups also in attendance. Woombye Community Bank branch’s Mark Gielis, said that despite the busy schedules of those able to attend, it was a great get-together once every few months to see how
businesses all travelling in our community.
“We really do have some really great businesses and terrific people in town. Spending time together every few months over brekkie gives us a great chance to network and learn more about how we can all support each other locally. We had lots of business owners joining us
for the first time and a few lucky door prizes winners who hadn’t been before, so along with it was a great morning all round,” Mark said.
If you’d like more information about the next breakfast happening on December 6 and how you can connect your business with other local ones, call Mark, Hayley and the Woombye team at the branch on 5442 1311.
