Where do I hear you ask? Well, the Woombye State School P&C will be holding the Twilight Markets and Christmas Carols Concert on November 29 from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.
It’s a great opportunity to relax, unwind and enjoy some great kids perform a magical Christmas Carols concert. With the Twilight Markets starting at 5.00pm, you can pick up lots of bargains for Christmas at affordable prices at one of more than 50 market stalls and then sit down on a blanket and let the kids warm your hearts with their efforts as the Christmas Carols concert begins from 6.00pm.
Woombye State School principal, Paul Lowik said it’s one of the highlights on the school’s events
calendar and something the students and families of the school have really been looking forward to.
“There will be a lot of great reasons to head to Woombye State School. The major raffle prize will
be won with a night in a family room at Sunshine Coast Motor Lodge up for grabs, gym
memberships, picnic hampers and lots of other great prizes available too. Tickets are only $2.00
and can be purchased on the night,” Paul said.
Plenty of food and drinks will be available and the kids are keen to perform on top of the new stage generously provided through a grant from one of the school’s long-time supporters - the Woombye Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank. Manager, Hayley Saunders said she looking forward to the seeing the performances on the new stage and knows the event will be a great success.
“The Twilight Markets and Christmas Carols Concert is another great chance for Woombye to
showcase its community spirit. As locals, we know it’s important for the kids and a major
fundraiser for Woombye State School. Our Community Bank branch is able to provide this
support because locals choose to bank with us.
“The more this happens, the more we can give back stages like this, musical instruments,
sounds systems and many other items to the school over the years. It’s part of why part why
locals said they wanted their own bank,” Hayley said.
